Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream is honoring its sister brand, Dunkin' Donuts, with a new ice cream flavor.
The world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops announced recently that Dunkin' Donuts' chocolate-frosted donut dunked in coffee was the inspiration for its new Dunkin' Donuts® Coffee 'N Donut ice cream.
The new flavor combines three popular tastes: coffee, donuts and ice cream. Coffee and donut-flavored ice cream is mixed with Dunkin' Donuts donut pieces and topped with a chocolate-flavored icing ribbon.
Baskin-Robbins announced that the new flavor can be ordered in a cup, cone, Cappuccino Blast®, milkshake, or as a sundae at participating Baskin-Robbins shops nationwide.
"We're excited to offer Baskin-Robbins guests a cool new twist on coffee and donuts with our Dunkin' Donuts Coffee 'N Donut Flavor of the Month, just in time for National Donut Day," said Jeff Miller, Executive Chef and Vice President of Product Innovation at Dunkin' Brands in a prepared statement.
Coffee, donuts and ice cream are three of my favorites, and I can't wait to try this Coffee 'N Donut ice cream. The big decision: should I get a cup, a cone, or a sundae?
